BN1 refers to Central Brighton, East Sussex, where i lived for 15 years. This is the first character wearing a Mr Smiley outfit and he was the instigator for a collection of people adorning the Mr Smiley image. Is was on a huge wooly jumper, a fabulous moment and so Brighton!
