Biography

''I have no interest in ever coming out.'' Banksy

Banksy is an England-based street artist, political activist, and filmmaker who operates under a pseudonym, with his true identity remaining undisclosed and subject to widespread speculation.

Since the 1990s, he has been active in creating satirical street art and subversive epigrams that blend dark humor with graffiti, employing a distinctive stenciling technique. His pieces of political and social commentary can be found on streets, walls, and bridges worldwide.

Emerging from the Bristol underground scene, characterised by collaborative efforts between artists and musicians, Banksy attributes his inspiration to 3D, a graffiti artist and founding member of the musical group Massive Attack.
