The Corteccia series represents the various masks that individuals use to confront different environments and situations, enabling them to evade discovery of their apparent fragility. Masks serve as protective shields against the demands of social reality, preserving our innermost essence. In many cases, these masks take control, relegating the original essence and making it nearly impossible to reclaim one's true inner self.

Each sculpture portrays distinct fragments of the same face, endeavoring to break free from these masks with the delicate intention of fragility, supported by a tender branch. As we observe these sculptures, we can identify our own vulnerability in the face fragments upheld by vibrant branches. Once acknowledged, these fragments can become the wellspring of our genuine inner strength.
